The Flamex Fighter's advancements in design, materials and capabilities include:

* Waterproof - PLUS - Blood Borne Pathogen proof yet breathable barrier that carries through tothe gloves gauntlet, providing an overlapping interface for a complete ensemble of wearer protection!

These unique firefighting gloves are designed and manufactured according to NFPA Standard 1971 & 2007* editions - and meet all performance requirements of the above mentioned standard.  Highlighted features
include an ergonomic cut and articulated thumb that provides superior dexterity and tactile feel than gun cut style gloves.  The outer shell is an Anti-Static Nomex® - so it's
fire retardant and heat resistant on the back-hand and gauntlet, the palm is a cut resistant Para-Aramid Kevlar® impregnated with silicon for non-slip properties when wet. Knuckles are further protected by 3-ribbed Para-Aramid Kevlar®.  There is also a silicon gel ulnar nerve protection pad built-in to palm to absorb impacts and vibrations from extrication equipment and other nerve damaging tasks.  Each glove also offers its wearer a thermal layer that is a 2.4 mm thick 100% Para-Aramid Kevlar® with an interlocked Kevlar® liner on the inner layer.  What's more, a Euro-Tex® liquid barrier is permanently sewn and hot glued to the shell in the area of the fingertips and a Euro-Tex® liquid barrier is also sewn to end of
the glove gauntlet. There are no seams to seal in the Chiba Glove's Euro-Tex® liquid barrier.  These gloves offers biological and steam protection to the glove body and wrist coverage area... thus, offering exposure protection - unlike any other glove on the market! Plus, their liquid barrier extends all the way to the end of the glove gauntlet.
